SEA 2022 Spring Meeting: The SEA Spring Meeting “Value and Change, Value in Crisis” will be held virtually and in Copenhagen, June 1-3, 2022. The deadline for abstract submissions is coming right up on December 20th. For more information and to submit your abstract, please visit the meetings page.

Call for Proposals, SEA 2023 Spring Meeting: SEA meetings are highly collegial, intimate gatherings themed around a different topic each year. Over the years we’ve explored a wide range of themes with relevance to economic anthropology — from landscapes and cities to risk, markets and tourism. We invite your inspiration and leadership. Please reach out to us if you have an idea or are interested in either hosting or serving as a program chair for our Spring meeting in 2023.

Nominate yourself for the SEA Board: AAA elections are coming up and SEA will have several open seats including our President Elect and three board seats. If you are interested in helping to lead the SEA, please reach out to Past President Cindy Isenhour (cynthia.isenhour@maine.edu)

Don’t forget to check out SEA on Facebook, in Anthropology News and in our new podcast, Mergers and Acquisitions.

P.S. Thanks to Cindy Isenhour for pulling together this and other news and events announcements, a tradition I plan to continue!

Best,

Nora Haenn (she/her)
President, Society for Economic Anthropology
